Kelly Webb

The pulp genre of the 1940's and 50's is where I gathered the inspiration for this project. The vibrant and dramatic illustrations seen on the covers of pulp novels and magazines have such a vibrance of light and color. For this project, I am attempting to revive this genre of kitsch with the medium of photography.
The relationships between these characters is based on the struggle of sexuality, as men attempt to remain dominant in physical presence, and women's use of her sexuality. This struggle can be compared to my own personal relationships with men, and my idea of modern romance.
