This body of work draws inspiration from a variety of different sources ranging from cinema, Jungian theory and the subconscious. Surreal and slightly unsettling, these images are meant to be felt more than they are seen.
We are the senior photography majors at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. The senior class is comprised of students from all over the United States working in a wide array of styles and formats.

Evan Foster
My work is centered on the transformative powers of books, how, by reading one new virtual dimension is created in the mind of the viewer. With the books I collect I am seeking to create tangible landscapes where there had previously only been an imaginary one. The images are not about reflecting a specific book or story. Rather they are manifestations of many things that have caught my eye going through the pages, a word or image that resonates with me and conjures up a strong visual or concept.
