We are incredibly dependent on bees for their part in cross-pollinating almost all bases of our food sources. Between industrial beekeeping, hobbyists, romantics, a threat of tragic disappearances, deaths and declines in the bee population, with the greater public stranded between mystery of causes and dooming possibilities, leaving much unknown.
This work captures a bit of it all.
We are the senior photography majors at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. The senior class is comprised of students from all over the United States working in a wide array of styles and formats.

This body of work is a look at nature. I chose to photograph leaves because there is a unique quality in each and every leaf. Each leaf is printed individually on clear film, which allows for the light to show through the image and also allows the shadow of the leaf to be seen on the wall behind the image.
